A child qualifies for intensive childcare when 24-hour supervision is required, meaning continuous supervision and active observation throughout the entire day and night. Also when the child requires specific nursing care at scheduled and unscheduled times, with assistance that must be available on-site within 15 minutes. In all cases, this concerns children who are under the care of a medical specialist.
